Joan Rivers interviewed me on her “Joan Rivers Show” in New York.
She had my father and me stay the night at one of our favorite hotels, The Palace, and treated us like celebrities. Joan was one of the most welcoming and tuned-in of all the talk show hosts I have ever known in thirty years of being a guest. During an advertisement, she asked me to help with a difficult guest and invited me to ask him questions to get him talking. Only one other time have I ever had such an invitation from a host because most hosts are very worried about losing control. Not Joan. She was such fun and her warmth was penetrating and vibrant. What a talent and what a woman!
